What Happens Next
We will try and complete all the necessary works as quickly as possible. Depending upon the nature, severity and scale of the incident, naturally additional visits and further restoration works may be required. Your BELFOR Technician will take the time to explain what works are required and approximately how long these will take.
Other parties such as a Loss Adjuster or Surveyor may also be appointed by your insurance company to help manage the claim. Other companies such as specialist contractors and contents replacement providers may also be appointed to help get your claim completed. BELFOR will work with all these parties to ensure that your claim is completed as quickly and as cost-effectively as possible.
The BELFOR Technician may appoint one of our internal surveyors to scope any repair and reinstatement works required to return the property to a pre loss condition. A selection of BELFOR trades personnel may therefore be required to complete works as follows:
- Plumbers
- Electricians
- Joiners
- Plasterers
- Tiler
- Multi Traders
- Painter & Decorators
Please also note that we may also ask you to make material choices as part of the reinstatement process.
BELFOR may appoint its own specialist partners to help carry out works on your claim. We will communicate this with you and explain their role, when needed on your claim. Our specialist partners may include any of the following:
- Waste Disposal & Removal
- Removals & Storage
- Asbestos Removals
- Temporary Kitchen/Bathroom Providers
- Laundry & Dry-Cleaning Specialists
- Odour Control Specialists
- Specialist Equipment Providers
- Specialist Furniture Restorers
If you have any queries or concerns with this aspect of the recovery, please talk to your BELFOR Technician.
You can also contact our UK National Service Centre on 0345 050 2309, where one of our claim’s handlers will be happy to help you.
