Singapore, 21 January 2019 - BELFOR Asia was incepted on May 1993. It had been a very fruitful 25 years marked with achievements from opening of 10 offices across 6 countries in Asia to support disaster recovery in the Asian region to establishing the first Semiconductor Centre of Competence in Taiwan in 2018. We have carried out thousands of inspections over the past 25 years and have helped bring hundreds of companies back to business. We have been involved in many major disasters, most notably the Big Flood in Thailand in 2011 and most recently, the "Heavy Rain of July" in Japan in 2018 which resulted in widespread and devastating floods and mudflows that affected many businesses in western part of Japan.
We had celebrations across Asia, with a workshop and Chinese dinner in China, dinner in Taiwan, three seminars in Japan (which we held jointly with TMNF to mark the 15 years of partnership as well as our 25 years celebration), a golf game in Thailand, culminating with dinner in Singapore at Monti. The Fullerton Pavilion, which overlooks the iconic Marina Bay Sands waterside development.
The 25 year commemoration events were a big success and gave BELFOR Asia the opportunity to re-connect with our key partners and introduce ourselves to potential and new customers. It also helps to showcase our expertise and commitment in this region. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers who have been supporting us.
