We have a proven track record of success in the Sacramento area including:
- When the staff from the Gallo Center of the Arts arrived to find major water damage in their facility, the county contacted BELFOR Sacramento to begin selective demolition, cleaning and mitigation. The BELFOR team worked around-the-clock to complete the mitigation and repairs. Gallo Center CEO Lynn Dickerson said, “The project has been handled very well by the county and BELFOR. It’s impressive to see how much has been done and how tidy they are in a very messy job.”
- BELFOR Sacramento restored the historic, fire-ravaged McHenry Mansion. The Modesto landmark is the only surviving original Victorian home in the city. Built in 1883, the historic house is not only a local treasure but also a popular destination for tours and catered functions. During one phase of the exterior work, moldings were carefully removed and salvaged for reproduction. It was a slow, painstaking process. The reproduced woodwork had to be cut, tooled and replaced to look like the pieces originally installed in the late 1800’s.
- BELFOR helped re-open the area's largest shopping mall, Westfield Galleria in Roseville after an arson fire caused an estimated $55 million in damages. BELFOR was on site before the fire even broke through the room and immediately began mitigation and restoration procedures. With hundreds of technicians working around the clock, the Galleria was able to reopen 130 stores by Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, far exceeding expectations of the mall management company.
California State Library Thanks BELFOR for Restoring Rare Books
BELFOR Sacramento stepped in to help the California State Library after a water leak affected approximately 250 rare books, some from the 1800s. Some less damaged books were dried on site, but others needed immediate special attention. In a social media post, a spokesperson for the library wrote:
"The State Library – and the State of California – owe a debt to State Parks and BELFOR Property Restoration of Sacramento,” said Greg Lucas, California State Librarian. “Both acted quickly and generously. BELFOR, in particular, made their freeze‐drying equipment available to restore these irreplaceable volumes."
BELFOR Sacramento contacted the State Library to volunteer its services to extract water from the most seriously damaged books. “BELFOR was able to utilize our Mobile Thermal Vacuum Freeze Dryer unit to restore the multiple volumes of rare books, and we are always happy to help our local community,” said Melanie Uhrenolt of BELFOR.
